These Terms and Conditions set out the basis on which Carpet Cleaners Belgravia provides professional cleaning services to residential and commercial customers. By booking a service, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions, which form a legally binding agreement between you and Carpet Cleaners Belgravia.
In these Terms and Conditions, the following expressions shall have the meanings set out below:
Customer means the individual, business, company or organisation booking or receiving the services.
Services means any carpet, rug, upholstery, curtain, mattress, hard floor or related cleaning, stain treatment, or associated service provided by Carpet Cleaners Belgravia.
Premises means the property or location where the services are to be carried out.
Agreement means the contract between Carpet Cleaners Belgravia and the customer incorporating these Terms and Conditions.
Carpet Cleaners Belgravia provides professional cleaning services across its service area as described on its promotional materials from time to time. The specific services to be provided will be confirmed at the time of booking, based on the customer’s requirements and the information supplied about the premises.
All services are subject to availability and the service description communicated to the customer at the time of booking. Any additional work requested on site that falls outside the original booking may be carried out at the discretion of the operative and may incur additional charges.
3.1 Bookings may be requested by the customer through the contact methods advertised by Carpet Cleaners Belgravia. A booking is not confirmed until it has been expressly accepted by Carpet Cleaners Belgravia and a date and time have been agreed.
3.2 The customer must provide accurate information about the premises, including the size and type of areas to be cleaned, the number and condition of carpets or other items, access arrangements, and any known issues such as heavy soiling, stains, pet damage, infestations, or delicate materials.
3.3 Carpet Cleaners Belgravia reserves the right to amend the quoted price or decline the booking if the information provided is inaccurate or incomplete, or if the operative determines on arrival that the work required differs substantially from what was described.
3.4 Time slots are offered in good faith; however, slight variations may occur due to traffic, previous jobs, or operational issues. The operative will aim to arrive within the agreed time window, and reasonable efforts will be made to inform the customer of any significant delays.
4.1 Prices are generally provided based on the customer’s description of the work and the standard price list in force at the time of booking. All quotations are given in good faith but are subject to change if the information supplied is inaccurate or if additional work is requested.
4.2 Unless expressly stated otherwise, prices are quoted for standard cleaning of normally soiled items. Heavily soiled areas, stains, odour treatments, specialist stain removers or protective treatments may incur extra charges, which will be explained to the customer wherever reasonably possible before such work is carried out.
4.3 Any promotional offers, discounts or packages are subject to specific terms and availability and may be withdrawn or modified at any time without prior notice.
5.1 Payment is due in full upon completion of the services on the day of the visit, unless otherwise agreed in writing in advance.
5.2 Carpet Cleaners Belgravia accepts the payment methods stated in its current payment policy. The customer is responsible for ensuring that they have an available and valid method of payment at the time payment falls due.
5.3 For certain bookings, including high-value, long-duration or commercial jobs, Carpet Cleaners Belgravia may require a deposit or prepayment. Any such requirement will be communicated prior to confirmation of the booking.
5.4 For approved account customers or commercial clients, payment terms may be agreed separately. If payment is not received within the agreed period, Carpet Cleaners Belgravia reserves the right to charge interest on overdue amounts and to suspend further services until all outstanding sums are settled.
5.5 All fees are payable without set-off, counterclaim or deduction of any kind.
6.1 The customer may cancel or reschedule a booking by giving reasonable notice. Unless otherwise agreed, at least 24 hours’ notice prior to the scheduled appointment time is required to avoid a cancellation fee.
6.2 If the customer cancels or reschedules with less than 24 hours’ notice, Carpet Cleaners Belgravia reserves the right to charge a cancellation fee, which may be up to the full value of the booked service, to cover loss of time and administrative costs.
6.3 If the operative attends the premises at the agreed time and is unable to gain access, or if there are health, safety or other conditions that make it impossible or unsafe to carry out the work, this will be treated as a last-minute cancellation and charges may apply.
6.4 Carpet Cleaners Belgravia may cancel or reschedule a booking if operatives are unavailable due to illness, equipment failure, adverse conditions, or other circumstances beyond its reasonable control. In such cases, the customer will be offered an alternative time or a refund of any prepayments for the affected service, and this shall be the full extent of Carpet Cleaners Belgravia’s liability.
7.1 The customer must provide safe and reasonable access to the premises at the agreed time, including parking arrangements where necessary. Any parking costs or permits required are the responsibility of the customer and may be added to the invoice if paid by the operative.
7.2 The customer must ensure that the premises are in a condition that is safe for cleaning operatives, including secure flooring, clear access routes, and no exposure to hazardous materials or environments.
7.3 The customer is responsible for moving fragile, valuable or easily breakable items out of the work area prior to the visit. Carpet Cleaners Belgravia will not be responsible for damage to items that have not been removed and are left in the cleaning area.
7.4 The customer must inform Carpet Cleaners Belgravia of any known issues that may affect the work, such as loose carpets, pre-existing damage, unstable furniture, or sensitive materials that require special handling.
8.1 Carpet Cleaners Belgravia will carry out the services using reasonable skill and care, in accordance with industry practices and the methods considered appropriate by its operatives.
8.2 While every effort is made to achieve the best possible results, complete stain or odour removal cannot be guaranteed, especially where stains are of unknown origin, have been treated previously with other products, or have set permanently into the fibres.
8.3 The appearance and drying time of carpets and fabrics may vary depending on the material, level of soiling, ventilation, and temperature. The operative may provide advice on ventilation and drying, and it is the customer’s responsibility to follow this advice.
8.4 The customer agrees not to walk on damp carpets or fabrics with dirty shoes or to place items on them that may cause staining, damage or slow drying. Carpet Cleaners Belgravia will not be liable for damage caused as a result of failure to follow aftercare advice.
9.1 Carpet Cleaners Belgravia takes reasonable care to avoid damage to the premises and items within it. In the unlikely event that damage occurs directly as a result of negligence or poor workmanship by an operative, Carpet Cleaners Belgravia will, at its discretion, repair the damage, compensate the customer, or arrange a suitable remedy, subject to the limitations set out in this clause.
9.2 The customer must report any alleged damage or issues in writing as soon as reasonably practicable and in any event within 48 hours of completion of the services. The customer must provide reasonable evidence, allow inspection, and cooperate with any investigation.
9.3 Carpet Cleaners Belgravia shall not be liable for:
a. Pre-existing damage, wear, discolouration, or defects in carpets, fabrics, flooring, or furnishings.
b. Damage arising from loose seams, weak backing, unstable dyes, shrinkage, or other inherent defects in materials, whether or not apparent before cleaning.
c. Loss or damage arising from failure to follow the operative’s advice or these Terms and Conditions.
d. Indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, loss of enjoyment, or loss of opportunity.
9.4 To the fullest extent permitted by law, Carpet Cleaners Belgravia’s total liability arising out of or in connection with any single service or series of related services shall be limited to the total price paid or payable by the customer for the specific service giving rise to the claim.
9.5 Nothing in these Terms and Conditions shall exclude or limit liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.
10.1 Carpet Cleaners Belgravia is committed to operating in accordance with applicable waste and environmental regulations in the United Kingdom.
10.2 General household waste, debris or items requiring disposal are not included in standard cleaning services unless expressly agreed. Where collection or disposal of waste is agreed, it will be carried out in accordance with relevant regulations and may incur additional charges.
10.3 The customer is responsible for informing Carpet Cleaners Belgravia of any materials on the premises that may require special handling or disposal. Carpet Cleaners Belgravia reserves the right to refuse to handle or remove any material that may be hazardous or fall outside its normal scope of service.
10.4 Any waste generated by Carpet Cleaners Belgravia during the cleaning process will be handled and disposed of in compliance with applicable laws and guidance, including any requirements relating to water discharge, chemical use, and environmental protection.
11.1 Carpet Cleaners Belgravia maintains appropriate insurance cover for the services it provides, subject to the terms, conditions and exclusions of the relevant policy or policies.
11.2 Details of insurance cover may be provided to customers on reasonable request. Any claim may be subject to the insurer’s assessment and policy requirements.
12.1 If the customer is dissatisfied with any aspect of the services, they should contact Carpet Cleaners Belgravia as soon as possible, and in any event within 48 hours of completion of the work, so that the matter can be investigated.
12.2 Where a complaint is found to be justified, Carpet Cleaners Belgravia may, at its option, re-clean the affected area, offer a partial refund, or provide another appropriate remedy, subject always to the limitations of liability in these Terms and Conditions.
12.3 Both parties agree to use reasonable efforts to resolve disputes amicably. If a dispute cannot be resolved by negotiation, either party may pursue its rights through the courts.
13.1 Carpet Cleaners Belgravia collects and processes personal data necessary to arrange and deliver services, manage bookings, handle payments, and respond to enquiries.
13.2 Personal data will be handled in accordance with applicable data protection laws in the United Kingdom. Information will not be sold to third parties and will only be shared where necessary for service provision, legal compliance, or legitimate business operations.
14.1 Carpet Cleaners Belgravia may update or amend these Terms and Conditions from time to time. The version in force at the time of booking will apply to the relevant services.
14.2 Continued use of the services after any changes have been communicated or published shall constitute acceptance of the updated Terms and Conditions.
15.1 These Terms and Conditions, and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them or their subject matter, shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.
15.2 The courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with these Terms and Conditions or the provision of services by Carpet Cleaners Belgravia.
16.1 If any provision of these Terms and Conditions is found by a court or other competent authority to be invalid or unenforceable, that provision shall be deemed modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it valid and enforceable, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
16.2 No failure or delay by Carpet Cleaners Belgravia in exercising any right or remedy under these Terms and Conditions shall operate as a waiver of that or any other right or remedy.
16.3 The customer may not assign or transfer any of their rights or obligations under these Terms and Conditions without the prior written consent of Carpet Cleaners Belgravia. Carpet Cleaners Belgravia may assign or transfer its rights and obligations where reasonably necessary for business operations, provided that such assignment does not reduce the protections afforded to the customer under this Agreement.
16.4 These Terms and Conditions, together with the details confirmed in the booking, constitute the entire agreement between the parties in relation to the services and supersede all previous understandings, agreements, arrangements or representations, whether written or oral.
